A basket full
Of flowers
For a hero

Safety
Elevated accolade
Will
vote
the ideas
Through
To an
illegitimate
Inferno.
A soul
Infused with love
Dark kindness
Mercy
Peace
Imbued with steel bred
Resolution
Conceived in roaring cauldrons,
In cauldrons of affliction.
Oppressing
Sticky mantras
The Hallmark cards of sentiment
Songs of outrage missing.
The end
Came soon enough
When chocolate
Was discovered
On forgotten lists of orders
In sticky sweet emporiums.
